Information Gap activities will create a need to both listen carefully and speak clearly in English. Student will work in groups to solve problems using target English phrases. There will be a quiz each week, as well as specific homework that involves listening.
In class we will follow the textbook, one chapter each week, which provides active practice in all 4 skills. It is very important that students attend all classes as each week builds on the last.
Once finished with activities in the book, students are free to do supplementary activities online to increase accuracy and fluency in the target language.

This is a 12-week simulation of a training session for an international business. You are recruited, and placed in this training course to prepare you for an overseas assignment. You will form a team with two other people for one month. During that month you will work on business communication basics. The team is evaluated and then new teams reform for the next month, technical communication. Then reformed teams do another month of discussion and meeting skills for face to face meetings. At the end you are assigned to a specific place in the world depending on your skills. The best jobs go to the most qualified. Being able to speak clearly and simply in a business or technical situation is the goal of this course.
