How To Make Gyoza

There are four steps to make Gyoza.

The first is to make dough, the second is to make content, the third is to wrap in and the fourth is to boil Gyoza

 

How to make dough

1. Prepare 800g of flour and cold water.

2. Put flour in a bowl.

3. Add cold water little by little. Dont pour too much water.

4. Mix and knead well until the surface is bright. 

5. Leave the dough for an hour.

6. Take dough and make a shape of a stick.

7. Cut into pieces.

8. Use flour to keep away from sticky dough

9. Make a ball.

10. Flat the ball and stretch into a circle. Dont make it too thin, too thick.

 

How to make content

1. Prepare 500g of minced pork, an egg, Chinese liquor(Shoukoushu), oyster sauce, a piece of garlic, ginger, a bundle of Nira(leek), 3~4 pieces of Chinese cabbage, salt and pepper. 

2. Put minced pork in a different bowl.

3. Break an egg into the bowl

4. Pour one lid of Shoukoushu and one teaspoon of oyster sauce in the bowl

5. Mix the ingredients well.

6. Mince the piece of garlic and ginger.

7. Cut Nira and Chinese cabbage into small pieces.

8.Add minced garlic, ginger, cut Nira and Chinese cabbage into the bowl.

9. Mix the ingredients well

10. Add a pinch of salt and pepper in the bowl.  

11. Keep mixing for more than 5 minutes until it becomes sticky.

 

 

How to wrap

1. Place the flat dough on your left palm.

2. Take a teaspoon of the meat on the dough.

3. Fold in half and wrap the meat in the dough.

4. Stick the edges together.

 

How to boil Gyoza

1. Boil a pot of water.

2. Put 6 to 10 pieces of Gyoza into the boiling water.

3. Wait until Gyoza flow on the surface.

4. Take out Gyoza.

8. Use flour to keep away from sticky dough

9. Make a shape of a ball.

10. Flat the balls and stretch into circles. Dont make it too thin, too thick.

11. Sprinkle flour to keep away from sticking each other.
